1st Report on the demand for electricity - Survey on the cost of electricity paid for by companies in the city and province of Milan (Available in Italian only: 1° Rapporto sulla domanda di energia elettrica)

The report was prepared by REF for INDIS-Unioncamere and the Milan Chamber of Commerce and published in June 2007. It photographs electricity consumption by SMEs in the city and province of Milan and quantifies savings made available by the transition to the free market. The survey analyses different aspects of the supply of electricity to firms: the characteristics of tariff systems and the differences between the captive market (now the “protected” market) and the free market; variables which affect how electricity supply costs are paid for; the role of tax in the cost of electricity supplies paid for by firms, etc.
